Blackhawk Employee Named to International Advisory Board

April 21, 2020

Congratulations to Cindy Leverenz for being named to The Future Talent Council Faculty and Staff Development Advisory Board. The Future Talent Council is a global strategy group based in Stockholm, Sweden that is focused on understanding and influencing the future of talent and work. Leverenz was recruited for this global position for her extensive work on talent development for employers in the College district and surrounding area.

Leverenz who is the Workforce and Community Development Training Specialist at Blackhawk is excited and humbled for this opportunity. “Blackhawk is included with all the top educators in the world, so I see this as a great honor for all of us. The organization was interested in my background in talent development, as well as faculty development over the years,” Leverenz said regarding her selection to the group.

The Future Talent Council engages educational, political, and business leaders from around the globe to shape world-wide, regional and industry agendas. According to the Council, “Our Advisory Boards are specialized units containing a group of thought-leading professionals from all over the world, assigned to uncover a more in-depth understanding and strategic direction on a certain topic, phenomenon, challenge, opportunity, or region.”

The international assignment will consist of a virtual meeting each month and will end with a 2-day summit next year in Stockholm, Sweden.

Leverenz concluded, “My experience with employers is a unique qualifier that brings relevance to this position. The goal is to eventually create open source training and development for faculty and staff around the world. My little part is to help shape that.”

The Future Talent Council was formed in 2017 by Lars-Henrik Friis Molin to address pending global employment issues. In addition to the office in Stockholm, Future Talent Council also has offices in Singapore, Sydney, and New York. For more information about the Council visit www.futuretalentcouncil.org.
