Applications for four (4) Blackhawk Technical College District Board positions are now being accepted. District Board members are not paid except for expenses incurred in performing their duties.
In the appointment process, equal consideration is given to the general population distribution within the District and women and minorities. In addition, employer and employee representatives should represent the businesses and industries within the District.
The following positions are vacant:
- One (1) Employee Official Member: Three-year term, expiring June 30, 2025
- One (1) Employer Member: Three-year term, expiring June 30, 2025
- One (1) Additional Member: Three-year term, expiring June 30, 2025
- One (1) Elected Official Member: Unexpired term, July 1, 2023, expiring June 30, 2026
Candidates for the above positions must reside in Rock and Green counties to comply with the BTC District Board Appointment Committee’s Plan of Representation.
Applicants must submit two (2) references supporting their nomination to the District Board and attend a District Board Appointment Committee meeting to be interviewed to be appointed.
