Blackhawk Accepts YWCA Rock County’s 2022 Corporate Award of Merit
Blackhawk Technical College was awarded YWCA Rock County’s 2022 Corporate Award of Merit on Wednesday evening during the YWCA’s Women of Distinction Gala at the Celtic House at Glen Erin Golf Club.
The award recognizes businesses and organizations in Rock County that work to improve the quality of life in the community. Recipients of this award also serve as role models and support policies, practices and attitudes in the advancement of women.
Guest Emcee Leigh Mills, an evening news anchor for NBC 15 News in Madison, presented the award to Dr. Tracy Pierner, President of Blackhawk.
Pierner thanked the Blackhawk team present at the gala who were all women of distinction in their own right, he said.
Blackhawk continues to raise its presence in the region by actively serving Rock County’s educational, healthcare and workforce needs. The college also is invested in cultivating an on-campus culture of inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility through deliberate and ongoing work and continuous dialogue both inside and outside the classroom.
