The Blackhawk Talons Men’s Basketball Team is thrilled to announce the signing of player, Kolin Vance, a versatile 6'5" guard/forward from Paradise Valley High School in Phoenix.
During his high school career, Vance averaged 16 points and 7 rebounds per game. His performance on the court has made him a standout player, and we are excited to see him bring his talent to the Blackhawk Talons, said Donte Burt, Talons Men’s Basketball Coach.
“We are excited to welcome Kolin to the Blackhawk Talons family,” Burt said. “His skills and determination will be a great asset to our program, and we look forward to watching him grow and succeed both as a player and a student.”
Vance will be majoring in Business Management, and in recognition of his achievements and potential, Vance also will receive a scholarship to support his academic journey.
Two other high school seniors – both from Vel Phillips Memorial High School in Madison – have signed letters of intent to play basketball for the Talons. Aidan John plans to study Criminal Justice at Blackhawk, and Caleb Watkins will study General Education.
In February, Blackhawk announced its new membership with the National Junior College Athletics Association. Competing in NJCAA’s Region 4 at the Division II level, the college now offers men’s golf, co-ed clay target shooting, women’s volleyball, co-ed bowling and men’s and women’s basketball.
