Blackhawk Technical College is proud to partner with the Office for Business & Entrepreneurship (OBE) to host a free Small Business Clinic on Friday, Dec. 13, at Blackhawk’s Beloit-Janesville Campus.

This full-day event, starting at 9 a.m., offers a flexible “choose-your-own-adventure” format tailored to entrepreneurs at all stages of their journey. Participants can take advantage of free 30-minute, one-on-one sessions with experienced consultants to discuss a variety of topics, including business start-up, financial planning, marketing, legal considerations, home baking businesses, and international trade.

"Blackhawk is committed to supporting our local entrepreneurs by providing access to trusted resources and expert guidance," said Mark Borowicz, Director of Workforce & Community Development at Blackhawk and the coordinator of the Janesville Innovation Center. "This clinic is an opportunity for our community to connect with the tools and expertise needed to turn their ideas into thriving businesses."

In addition to individual appointments, the clinic features group sessions on critical business topics such as:

• General Business Law (presented by UW Madison’s Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic)
• Business Planning 101
• Marketing 101
• Funding Your Business with Revolving Loan Funds
• International Trade and Opportunities for Women in Entrepreneurship
• Attendees are encouraged to stay for lunch to network with fellow entrepreneurs and meet local organizations that support small business growth in the region.
