Cost of Attendance

The Cost of Attendance (COA) for Blackhawk Technical College is a budget that estimates the costs of attending the college. It includes tuition, books, room and board, transportation, and other miscellaneous expenses. Estimating these costs for our college and geographic region allows us to provide a more realistic financial aid offer to assist students with the cost of attending Blackhawk. It is not a list of charges that you will need to pay to the college.

Students should contact the Financial Aid Office if they have any questions or additional budget items. Additional costs that may be added on a case-by-case basis, such as:

  • Higher than average kits or supplies (program specific)
  • Professional licensure, certification, or a first professional credential (program specific)
  • Federal Direct Student Loan Fees if the student borrows a federal student loan
  • Dependent care
  • Disability-related expenses
  • Travel expenses if the student lives a great distance from campus or needs to travel for their program.
