BTC to Host Smart Start Day for New, Returning Students

Blackhawk Technical College will host an open house (Smart Start Day) on Saturday, Jan. 8, from 8 a.m. until noon at its Central Campus in Janesville. Smart Start Day is designed for students to take care of last-minute needs before the spring semester. Many services will be available, including financial aid, advising, bookstore, placement testing, laptop checkouts, IT helpdesk, student IDs, and campus tours.

“Smart Start Day is an excellent opportunity for new and returning students to finish their to-do list for the spring semester,” said Tony Landowski, BTC Executive Director of Student Services. “We will have lots of staff members here to help students with any questions or concerns so that they are able to have the best start possible for the spring semester.”

Spring classes at BTC kick-off on Monday, Jan. 10. Classes are offered in-person as well as online.
