Dental Hygiene Program Seeking Public Comment

Blackhawk Technical College (BTC) is seeking comments from the public about the upcoming Dental Hygiene educational program, in preparation for evaluation by the American Dental Association for initial accreditation. An evaluation team from the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) will visit between February 1-2, 2022 to complete a comprehensive evaluation and review of the program’s potential ability to meet accreditation standards for dental hygiene educational programs.

The public is invited to submit comments regarding BTC’s upcoming Dental Hygiene program to the following: Commission on Dental Accreditation, 211 East Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611, phone 1-800-621-8099 (Ext 4563). Comments must address accreditation standards as they relate to BTC’s proposed Dental Hygiene program or policies and procedures used in the accreditation process by CODA. Comments must be signed though signatures will be removed from comments prior to forwarding them to the program.

Copies of the Accreditation Standards for Dental Hygiene educational programs can be obtained by contacting CODA as listed above. All comments must be received no later than December 1, 2021.
