Welcome Israel Muchacho, Accounting Intern at Blackhawk

Image

Until recently, Clinton High School student Israel Muchacho had to master an obstacle in his academic career.

Israel grew up in Tachira, Venezuela before he moved to the United States.

“When I came to the country, I didn’t know how to speak English, so classes were hard for me at the time,” he said.

He is now a summer intern in Blackhawk Technical College’s Finance Office through the 2022 Summer Rock Internship Program.

He was interested in Blackhawk because he would be able to learn and gain the experience of working in a bigger profession.

He hopes this experience will help him develop new skills, specifically in communication and accounting, that he can use in a future job or be ready to study for a career.

In his spare time, Israel likes to go out with his friends as well as play soccer and basketball.
