Health Information Management

Health Information Management is the practice of managing medical information vital to providing quality patient care, sound fiscal management of medical resources, and data governance supporting the confidentiality of patient records. Management of this data includes acquisition, analysis, and protection of digital and traditional types of information.

This Associate Degree program will be offered entirely online. Enrollment will begin in January 2025 for the Fall 2025 semester. Courses will run every eight weeks, with two sessions each semester. Full-time students will complete the program in two years. Successful graduates will be eligible to sit for the RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) credential offered by AHIMA (American Health Information Management Association).
