You may not receive a 1098-T form if:
  • BTC does not have your correct address
  • BTC does not have your valid SSN or TIN on file
  • Your enrollment only included Adult Continuing Education, Development/Remedial or Pre-College courses
  • Your qualified tuition and related expenses were entirely waived or paid completely with scholarships, grants or paid fully by a third party
  • You did not pay, or get billed for, qualified tuition and related expenses during that same calendar year

After checking all of the above, if you still believe you had reportable transactions and are due a 1098-T form, please contact us at accounting@blackhawk.edu or (608) 757-7759.

It’s possible that a hard copy may have been mailed to your prior address. If you have not received your hard copy at either your prior or newly-updated address by February 18, and you are unable to access your 1098-T via the MyBTC portal, please send an email to accounting@blackhawk.edu to request a new copy.

Prior year 1098-T forms are available to students in MyBTC through the My Finances card.
