You’ll be trained in the latest skills needed to carry out a variety of laboratory, clinical, and office duties at a private practice or dental group. And you can choose a variety of roles within the industry because working with dentists as they examine and treat patients is just one area the dental assistant program can take you. With your technical degree from Blackhawk, you may also consider managing a dental office, coordinating patient scheduling and bookkeeping, manning the front desk as the receptionist or office manager, working as a dental lab technician, dental treatment coordinator, or as a dental specialty assistant.

In our newly remodeled, high-tech lab, you’ll experience an amazing educational environment with the latest equipment and technology. Dental concepts are introduced and then supported with activities that will give you the well-rounded training you need to work with confidence and expertise. Once you complete the program, you will have a technical diploma and be eligible to be certified by the Dental Assisting National Board.
