Deb Pessoa retired in May after more than 18 years as a nursing instructor at Blackhawk, including the last 4½ years as the Program Chair of the Nursing program.

Fifteen high school educators from around Rock County gathered at Blackhawk Technical College on Friday for a workshop to conclude their experience in the Rock Externship Program.

It wasn’t too many years ago that Dani Guerrero, a summer intern in the Marketing & Communications department at Blackhawk, didn’t speak English. Born in Peru, she and her family moved to Beloit when she was 10.

Lisa Johnson finds nothing more fulfilling than helping others improve their state of health. It was for that reason that she went into the field of dentistry.
