Blackhawk Technical College honored members of its community who have made an impact through academics, involvement in student organizations and leadership at its annual Student Awards Ceremony on Wednesday.

You could say Deb Brovick is a teacher who teaches would-be teachers how to teach. She is an instructor in the Foundations of Teacher Education and Behavior Technician programs, which help prepare pre-service teachers for a career with students.

Congratulations to the 23 Blackhawk Technical College students who were inducted Thursday into The National Society of Leadership and Success, the nation’s largest leadership honor society, which offers mentorship, learning opportunities, scholarships and more for its collegiate members.

The flexibility of the classes is what drew Tayana Roman to BTC. With the introduction of MyEdChoice, Tayana can choose whether she wants to go to class, watch the course via Zoom from her home or go to work and watch the videos later.

Kearie Pulliam began her one-year term Thursday as Blackhawk Technical College’s Student Ambassador to the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS).
