Blackhawk Technical College offers a free shuttle service for students that connects locations in Beloit, Janesville, Milton, Monroe, as well as University of Wisconsin - Whitewater at Rock County and University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. The College recently recognized its shuttle drivers for completing 500,000 miles and 5-years and being accident-free. The drivers recognized include: Larry Dunmore, Joann Gibson, Nicholas Hengeveld, Dan Krause, Douglas Lubke, and Robert Zechlin.

Blackhawk Technical College wishes to announce that it will host a site review for continuing accreditation of its Associate Degree of Nursing and Practical Nursing program by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

Students who complete a degree in either Sales Management or Digital Marketing will have the option to either transfer to a four-year college or pursue a career. The two degree programs are new offerings at Blackhawk Technical College this fall. Both programs are being developed and led by faculty member, Rich Fronheiser, and will be offered in flexible delivery formats to meet the needs of students.

Whether an individual is seeking professional development or continuing education or a degree program, Blackhawk Technical College Fire Science programs have many options to help students advance in their career. “The fire science industry is constantly changing and evolving. To meet those needs, BTC provides classes at a variety of locations and times in Rock and Green Counties. We present the classes in the format that works best for our students,” said Rob Balsamo, BTC Coordinator of EMS and Fire Science Programs. Formal education for firefighters and leaders in fire science has become an expectation, not the exception.
