From Art to Zest: Community Development Classes Cover the Alphabet

Blackhawk’s Workforce and Community Development team is committed to providing flexible, immediate, and relevant training opportunities to local companies and community members. Providing community and workforce classes requires BTC to recruit instructors with talent and education that goes far beyond traditional classroom learning. With courses like Acrylic Painting, Wine Tasting, and Dealing with Difficult People, community development classes allow students of all ages and abilities to use the educational resources that Blackhawk provides to the community at large.

BTC Students Benefit from COVID-19 Relief Funds

During the 2021-2022 academic year, Blackhawk Technical College students will continue to benefit from COVID-19 relief funding. The College has $3.8 million to devote to student support for the upcoming academic year that begins on Monday, Aug. 16. Since the pandemic began, the College has provided $2,202,010 in relief funds directly to students.

Change in Masking Policy Effective August 9

We continue to closely monitor the pandemic in cooperation with local, state, federal, and CDC guidelines. In response to the increasing threat of the Delta variant and the rise of COVID-19 cases/hospitalizations, the CDC revised its guidance last week. In light of these changes, our leadership team continues to put the safety of our students, employees, and visitors first as we update our pandemic response.
