Nick McCormack’s career story started his junior year of high school when he began his 8 ½ years in the Illinois National Guard. Serving as a Forward Observer, Nick was part of the planning team for tactical movements directing artillery drops. Before leaving high school for the military, and even during his service, Nick knew that he enjoyed working on diesel equipment and big trucks.

While many students find themselves returning to school at Blackhawk Tech after working in “the real world,” Alexis Robeldo knew Blackhawk would be her destination before she even graduated from high school. “My counselor recommended Blackhawk to me my senior year,” she said.

Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 3, the community-wide testing site at BTC will transition from a drive-thru process to an indoor walk-in site. Testing will occur in Lot H (adjacent to the tented area) to ensure that testing can continue regardless of inclement weather.

These resources include grants, loans, scholarships, veteran benefits, and others from federal, state, and private sources.
