If you’ve ever called Blackhawk Tech and weren’t sure who you needed to talk to, you’ve probably spoken to Lacey Rebarchek, the Welcome Center Assistant at Central Campus. She’s also the first person you see when you walk into Central Campus and takes her role as the face of BTC very seriously.

That’s what Blackhawk’s Workforce and Community Development (WCD) team regularly hears when it comes to local businesses and training their employees. Fortunately, that is precisely where the Blackhawk WCD team excels.

Shawn Babbitt first came to Blackhawk to complete his High School Equivalency Diploma. As he explained, “The entire time I’ve been a student at Blackhawk, I have been on parole for bad decisions I’ve made in the past and continue to strive away from that time in my life.”

Makynzey Humphrey can say something that many of us will never say in our lives, “growing up, I loved going to the dentist.” This explains how, when she found out that Blackhawk had a dental assistant program, going back to school was an easy decision.
